"Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana among top 10 states with most drug overdose deaths"

"Study: Kentucky ranks fourth, amount 38 states studied, in per-resident costs of opioid-use disorder and deaths resulting from it"

In a matter of one year, Kentucky rose from number 12 to number 4 in the ranking of total deaths per year due to drug overdose.

There is absolutely no doubt that there is a substance abuse epidemic in the US, and it's hitting home here in Kentucky more than ever. The hard truth is that many of us have been effected by this, whether it be personally or through the experiences of loved ones - family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. Even in the absence of personal experience, the stories of struggle, folks fighting for their lives and families, and in many cases, the tragedy of loss, are enough to compel us to want to step up and be a part of the solution. This is your opportunity to provide the help someone needs to escape the grips of addiction.

Mindfulness practices such as meditation, breathwork and yoga have been proven to aid in the addiction recovery process. The Trini Foundation partners with studios - like AYL - to make yoga available to those who are on their path to sobriety. Donations to Trini cover 100% of the cost of memberships at affiliate studios across the country, as well as make it possible for teachers to provide classes inside treatment centers for which those facilities may not otherwise have funding to offer.

Join us in helping make change right here in our own community of Louisville. Your donation directly benefits those who are looking for a way out of addiction. Would you consider donating today?
